Hobbies are good for you. I garden, so my family and friends get to eat the results of my hobby! I'm glad you're having fun with the painting, I'd love to see some of the results of your paint & sip sessions! 😊

Ooh! If and when I live in a space that allows me to garden, I'd love to explore that as a hobby tbh. It seems so self-sufficient & eco-friendly at the same time! (I shared the painting in the issue right after this one, thanks Jeannine!) :)

One of the best things I learnt was you don’t have to be good at something to enjoy it! It was while ten pin bowling with friends. Changed how I see things

Oh for sure! Doing things for the fun of it is SO underrated! Whenever we, as a society, move on from forcing each other to excel at stuff and only then pursue/do it, we'll be happier.

Nia! Happy three years!

I loved this one. As you know I do have a lot of hobbies and because I work from home, not a lot of my colleagues know about it. When they ask a "fun fact" to share, people are vvvv rarely interested in anything beyond fitness and travel. It's so annoying i swear. But I cannot imagine a life where I cannot do things for fun and I love taking time out of my day to do them. And what I have realised in the last year when I picked up crochet is that I love challenges and I loved learning (very specific things only but it was something I wasn't aware of!) so it has been so nice to discover that about myself. And when you mentioned taking pottery classes with friends, I remembered how my friends and i did painting sessions over zoom and they made our lockdowns significantly better.

Idk if it makes any sense at all 🙈🙈🙈 but I just wanted to share that! Also i would love to see your painting! I'm so happy you tried it out!

Pariiii!! Thank you SO much! Your stories about your hobbies, things you're trying out, and all the lovely other stuff is truly a delight to see. I still very much treasure your postcard to me — it's one of my all-time faves. <3

Idk if you saw, but I shared the painting in the issue right after this one (https://niacarnelio.substack.com/p/when-did-it-become-cool-to-hate-kids) and wanted to thank you for encouraging me to share it!! :')
