As I always say, you got this! As someone who also goes often awol from her newsletters, I know it can feel hard and like you're letting people (and yourself) down. But trust me, not only do all of us understand, but you deserve to write issues with the proper time, health and mental space you need. Until your next, sending you love.
Here is unsolicited advice from decades with very painful carpel tunnel, wearing a wrist brace all the time worked at letting me type pain free, but acupuncture made it possible to be pain free without the brace. Felt like a miracle. Hope what ever you are doing works, because I know how awful it is to feel pain in doing what you love to do.
Thank you so much, Mary! I'll look into acupuncture near me too — another friend also recommended it recently. I've taken to wearing my wrist brace every night and that helps & taking plenty of breaks while writing (which are not the easiest to do when I'm in a flow but still necessary). I'm slowly coming back to myself and finding the joy in doing what I love (writing this newsletter & other things) again but there's still some more recovery to be done. :)
Thank you so much, Gillian! Hated taking the break, but it genuinely helped me, and I'm slowly returning to how much I enjoy writing my newsletter & reading everyone else's too! :)
It's been a little while, but I am now, thank you! Wrist is almost fully recovered & the burnout's much better too. Hope you're doing well & that 2024 is off to a great start for you! :)
Thanks, Mike! Taking a break really helped my wrist and while I'm still battling some of those burnout symptoms, I'm feeling much more like myself these days and I'm happy to be able to return to writing the newsletter again. :')

Always, always grateful to have you in my corner, friendo. Thank you.
Hope you get well soon. I have just hurt my hand myself and I know typing can be a real pain without the use of both hands. Take rest
Gah, hope you healed fully & well soon — it really is so annoying. Thank you so much, Resh! :)

Thank you so much, Jeannine! :)
Thanks for this update, Nia! A break is always a good thing. I hope your wrist is getting better, and that you’re feeling less burned out.
