I feel this on so many levels. I’ve somehow landed in a space where I never watch new shows, and (I hope) the people around me realize that and don’t recommend things to me as often.
I watch the same few comfort shows on repeat and that’s all--otherwise the choices and desire to ~expand my world~ or ~be productive~ turns it into a task to check off. And that just isn’t fun or relaxing.
I do write down most recommendations but so many people recommend the amazingly, perfectly shot shows and all I want to do is watch a brainless sitcom — suddenly it felt like I was letting them down. :(
Comfort shows will ALWAYS remain superior, they're what keep me resting during sick days and going on busy days where I can't spare any brain cells.
