I could related to this article very much, as it was my condition when I used to work. I preferred loyalty over growth, as loyalty meant that I didnt ned to worry about another job and although dragged myself too much into the job,i still remained in it... and hardly gave time even for myself..
We have one life, so giving it to a company that will replace us when we aren't useful anymore is not a great idea. But yes, you're right. Job loyalty = stability (income, status, and reputation).
The important thing for every individual is to do what works best for them, not the company, whether that's staying or leaving.
